It’s been a few months of hard work on testing internally, and we are excited to release this testnet phase with you all. This primarily focuses on developers, putting our Analog Watch toolset in your hands. During this phase, you can explore, build, provide feedback, and earn yourself an allocation of the future ANLOG token airdrop.

You’ll first experiment with Analog Watch, our Web3 data integration 2-way toolset. It is a full-stack indexing and query protocol that makes blockchain data instantly accessible through a powerful GraphQL endpoint.

Developers can access the Watch through the open-source Watch SDK and a hosted service, the Watch Portal. We recommend new developers less familiar with blockchain development to start with our Watch Portal, as it provides a user-friendly interface to interacting with the Watch.

Two chains are supported for now, Ethereum and Astar, with many more on the way.

Quests will soon be added for Analog’s GMP Protocol as well, so keep an eye on this space!

How to Get Started

Step 1: Register for access to the testnet on this page

Once you get an invite, you will be able to create a testnet account using the same email and access your dashboard here. This is where you’ll manage your progress and claim rewards.

Step 2: Connect Your Wallet

Link your Substrate-compatible wallet to both the Analog Testnet Dashboard and the Watch Portal. This will be essential for interacting with your Views and managing API keys. For a list of supported wallets, check here

Step 3: Complete Developer Quests

You're now ready to start building and earning ATPs!

Here are some of the different quests you can complete:

💡Quick Note: As you complete quests, the ATPs you earn will accumulate in your Testnet Dashboard. These points directly contribute to your future ANLOG token airdrop allocation! Climb the leaderboard to secure the most rewards!

Watch our upcoming “Game”: Vote-to-Earn

Get ready to boost your ATP earnings with our upcoming Watch Game! This is a community-driven event which lets you showcase your data aggregation skills and earn extra rewards through a simple vote-to-earn system on your created Views.

Here's how it works:

  • Submit Your Views: When you deploy a View on the Watch Portal, simply tick the designated box to submit it for consideration in the Watch Game. Currently, you can build Views using smart contracts from Astar and Ethereum, with even more chains to be supported soon.

  • The Community Decides: In the coming weeks, we'll launch the Watch Game, where community members can explore and vote on submitted Views.

  • Earn Extra ATPs: The more votes your Views receive, the more chance you have to earn bonus ATPs. This is a fantastic way to increase your share of the ANLOG token airdrop.

Why Participate in the Watch Game?

You can showcase your developer skills and demonstrate your ability to create valuable data aggregations for the broader Web3 community. In addition, you can maximize your ATPs to boost your ANLOG allocation and most importantly boost your visibility to get your work in front of potential users and collaborators, driving interest in your Views and creations.

Rewards Overview

Every action you take during Phase 1 of the Testnet earns you Analog Token Points (ATPs). Here's the breakdown:

  • Quest Points: Each of the developer quests listed above has a specific number of ATPs attached to it. Complete quests, earn points!

  • Referral Bonus: Invite other developers to join the Testnet and you'll earn a percentage of the ATPs they generate. Create a referral link from your dashboard and start sharing!

  • Presale Participant Bonus: If you participated in the 2021 BSC or ETH presale, you're eligible for additional rewards based on your contribution level.

There will also be additional, unique chances to earn more points and grow your airdrop allocation as the testnet progresses, so keep an eye on our social media channels! It's a direct reward for your contributions to the Analog network's growth.

Conclusion

Your contributions and engagement during this phase of our Testnet will directly shape the future of our developer tools and the overall improvement of our network.

So don't just stand on the sidelines – dive into those quests, build your Views, and spread the word about the Analog Testnet.

The rewards are waiting, and the potential for Web3 innovation is truly limitless.

About Analog

Analog is a pioneering Layer-0 cross-chain communication protocol engineered to facilitate seamless interoperability across diverse blockchains. With the advent of multiple Layer-1 and Layer-2 platforms, the demand for composability between these systems is set to escalate. This encompasses not only the tokens issued across these projects but also DApps that possess cross-chain functionalities or that can be enhanced by leveraging DApps from other chains.
