After extensive development efforts, Analog is ready to unveil its public incentivized Testnet — the final testing phase that paves the way to the Analog Mainnet debut!
The Testnet presents an opportunity for developers, community members node operators to earn their share of a sizeable $ANLOG token allocation by battle-testing the network.
In essence, this entails completing quests and other actions that meaningfully contribute to the protocol’s early development.
The key objectives of the Analog Testnet are:
Battle-testing Analog Watch and GMP SDK: Conduct rigorous testing of the Analog Watch and GMP SDK to gather product feedback for optimization purposes.
Bootstrapping a decentralized community: Focus on growing a decentralized community by attracting more developers and users to the Analog network, fostering collaboration and innovation within the ecosystem.
Assessing validator resilience and performance: Evaluate the resilience and performance of validators to ensure they are prepared for seamless integration with the Mainnet, ensuring network security and efficiency.
The Analog Testnet employs a phased approach to gradually onboard different user groups, ensuring that the integration of new participants does not disrupt the ongoing activities of existing members.
Additionally, users will be invited depending on their position on the waitlist.
This strategy underscores our vision of a harmoniously evolving ecosystem, where community members seamlessly integrate and contribute to the network's growth over time.
Testnet phase | Approximate duration |
---|---|
Phase 1 - Developers | April 16 - End July |
Phase 2 - Community | End April - End July |
Phase 3 - Validators | Early May - End July |
Find more details about Phase 1 here.
Phase 2 and 3 details will be shared shortly.
As indicated in the table above, there are three categories of participants; developers, community, and validators.
Developers and community
Developers and community members can earn Analog Token Points (ATPs) by completing quests in Analog’s Testnet app and on our Galxe space. Examples of the tasks include:
Listing smart contracts in Analog Watch
Building and deploying a view in Analog Watch
Sponsoring/funding a view in Analog Watch
Submitting UX feedback on Analog Watch
Following Analog on X
Participating in the referral program
Participating in a Testnet game session
As participants earn ATPs, they will climb up the ranks on the Analog Testnet Leaderboard. A minimum ATP score will be required to generate rewards, but there are no limits as to how many users can reach that threshold. After this threshold, the more ATPs a user possesses at the end of the Testnet, the larger their allocation will be.
Furthermore, participants will be able to generate a referral link to invite more participants, and earn a percentage of the ATPs generated through these referrals. Filtering measures will be implemented pre- and post-Testnet to guarantee that each user qualifies for rewards tied to only one account.

More info for Community Members will be shared shortly.
Validators
As a validator in the Analog Testnet, participants will be rewarded with Analog tokens. These incentives will be calculated based on metrics such as uptime and active participation, ensuring that those who play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the network are duly recognized and compensated.
Further details regarding reward calculation and distribution will be available closer to Phase 3.
The initial genesis airdrop for the Testnet will be an allocation of 2% of the total supply of $ANLOG tokens. This will be distributed with respect to the following:
Each key user group will have a specific ratio of rewards allocated out of the total tokens reserved.
It is possible for participants to be eligible for one or more reward pools if they satisfy the requirements. Scores are not final; the Analog Team may introduce additional requirements to deter sybil attacks and incentivize the Analog ecosystem.
2021 BSC and ETH presale participants will receive an additional airdrop allocation based on their initial participation and their total ATPs.
Stay tuned for more information on the individual phases of the Testnet, and keep an eye on our website Testnet page for a link to get started!
Analog is a pioneering Layer-0 cross-chain communication protocol engineered to facilitate seamless interoperability across diverse blockchains. With the advent of multiple Layer-1 and Layer-2 platforms, the demand for composability between these systems is set to escalate. This encompasses not only the tokens issued across these projects but also DApps that possess cross-chain functionalities or that can be enhanced by leveraging DApps from other chains.
Our products are uniquely designed to address these interoperability challenges:
Timechain: The Timechain serves as a state machine replication (SMR), preserving validated data from various interconnected chains. It provides a straightforward interface for developers and users to access data from any linked blockchain, enabling interoperability and streamlining cross-chain communication.
GMP Protocol: The Generic Message Passing (GMP) protocol lies at the heart of the Analog Network's interoperability capabilities. It empowers developers to create cross-chain applications that maintain coherent application logic, shared states, and efficient liquidity usage. The GMP protocol ensures a seamless user experience across disparate blockchain ecosystems, simplifying interactions and transactions.
Analog Watch: Also known as the Query Marketplace, Analog Watch is a developer-centric product powered by the Watch SDK. It offers users and DApps an intuitive interface to query any desired data from smart contracts on connected chains. Analog Watch functions as a marketplace for on-chain data feeds, allowing users to specify their data requirements and access the information with ease.
In summary, the GMP protocol and the architecture of the Analog Network are instrumental in delivering a one-click user experience within a multi-chain ecosystem, enabling seamless asset transfers, coherent application logic, and enhanced liquidity efficiency across various chains.
Following the successful developer-focused Phase 1, we're thrilled to open the Phase 2 Testnet to the broader Analog community members by the end of April. This phase puts the power of our tools in YOUR hands.
